Random Facts About Me

I'm thinking it would be nice for you to get to know me..so heres a few random things/facts about me :)

I like to pretend i'm a pop star…often.


I think Disney Villains are my favourite - "You'll have your looks! Your pretty face! And don't underestimate the importance of body language!" Ursula.

I only have my ears pierced. I've never had any where else pierced and I also don't have tattoos. Bit boring I suppose.



I love fancy dress parties - any excuse to dress up! I clearly like Disney… YES that is me as a pirate ship! (Bucky - Jake & the neverland pirates, Cinderalla, Minnie Mouse & Poision Ivy)


I am a Gemini -  Energetic, Clever, Imaginative, Witty & Adaptable.


I listen to Harry Potter Audio Books every night since 2011 -  Stephen Fry's voice helps me calm down.





I have a dog called Stanley - we rescued him so don't officially know what age or breed he is.


When i was 6 i told everyone my name is Shania - I loved Shania Twain! Mum said no to changing it :(


I own far too much make up - 25+ lipsticks!




I once buried my cat Flora … ALIVE! I was like 5 and dug a hole in the garden, put the cat in and covered it with the paddling pool (blue plastic shell one - 90's kid). DON'T WORRY my mum let her out. Poor Flora the cat.

I am terrified of spiders! Seriously can't deal with them...thank god I don't live in Australia or something ;)

I have met a few famous people…or "celebrities" NAME DROP wink emoticon Paul O'Grady (he gave me a nodding Buster -extra points if you remember them) Sheridan Smith, KT Tunstall, Lorraine Kelly, Kate Nash, Natalie Casey, Lee Brennan (911), Edele and Keavy Lynch and Lindsay Armaou (B*Witched), Will Mellor, Charlaine Harris (author of True Blood) and recently Grace Helbig.

I graduated university with a 2;1 - very proud. I didn't think i could do it but i did!
University of Lincoln - Bachelor of Arts in Audio Production


I use to dress as Tina Turner when i was little and perform 'Simply the best' - in a wig, high heels and my mama's dresses!


I love slot machines - 2p machines! Winning crap and spending a fortune but i love it! British seaside holidays are the best!


My favourite colour is PASTEL haha most pastel colours - pink, lilac, mint green, baby blue etc you get the idea ;)

I had a spinal fusion in 2007 to correct a baddddd case of Scoliosis - it hurt alot and took a long time to recover. I thought that was going to be the hardest thing to deal with…boy was i wrong!


I am a people pleaser and I really hate letting people down and especially people disliking me. 


I'm addicted to diet Coke I drink at least two cans of day... AT LEAST! ;)

Just sat minding my own...well actually browsing through ASOS with the telly on in the background and I see my back surgeon from 10 years ago. BBC 2 Hospital series 3  a documentary on Nottingham QMC hospital around the time of a bed crisis. A young boy of 12 was about to undergo a spinal fusion by the best surgeon Micheal Grevitt (my doctor). The documentary was a brilliant insight into how the NHS is suffering. Staff overworked, patients distressed waiting for beds, treatment and then a lack of social care funding. An experience I didn't have 10 years ago. The program brought back some memories, least to say some painful memories - literally painful. August 2007 I went to QMC to have the biggest operation I'd ever had or probably will ever have. I make myself laugh to be honest because now at 26 I'd be shitting myself but not at 16 -  bitch be fearless! Obvz I was nervous but I was optimistic almost unbeatable! My mum looked petrified...the woman is scared of h...

#MYBEAUTIFULSTRUGGLE

   I don't really know what I'm going to call this blog post. I have to discuss Jordan Bone's latest YouTube video "My beautiful struggle". This video had over 25,000 views in 24 hours! ( Congratulations Jordan) . The point of this video was for Jordan to show her viewers The struggle she has to apply make up. It's almost like a behind-the-scenes about how difficult it was to learn to do her make up. She is a positive, beautiful, ambitious inspiration which makes her the perfect role model for so many different people not just those with disabilities. It's not easy to put a video like this online for everyone to see. To admit that you can't do most things for yourself and have to ask for help with everything is difficult. Down to silly little things to normal people ( able people ), like brushing your own hair or dressing yourself. Do you take that for granted ? Maybe ? You probably don't even realise your morning routine is completel...
