Spring Edit | 2015 |

These are a few products i have been reaching for throughout spring. It's my Spring Edit.

Victorias Secret - Aqua Kiss Body Mist - £11.00

I love this body mist for spring/summer because its so fresh. The scent says "rain-kissed freesia and fresh daisy. Refreshing formula is infused with conditioning aloe vera and calming chamomile". Its very fresh and clean, i'd say its lightly floral. I'm usually a sweet/warm smells kind of person however i love this body mist! Its not overpowering at all! I decanter mine into my bag atomiser because these bottles are 250ml!! We now have a few Victoria Secret in the UK however the body mists are on EBAY!!!

CHANEL JOUES CONTRASTE Powder Blush - Malice - £31.00

I feel like spring is all about the fresh face. The Chanel blushers are brilliant for fresh/glowy skin. Malice is that perfect pink/peach colour that pretty much goes with every skin tone whether it's pale or dark. I think 'Malice' is very similar to Nars 'Orgasm' blush ... it's like it's slightly sophisticated sister. So you know it's not as glittery and bright. It's fresh with a hint of shimmer to give off that glow. It's a bit pricey I suppose, but it is one of my favourites and definitely worth the money, I've not even Hit pan yet.

Mac pro palette eyeshadow - Sumptuous Olive & Girlie - £10.00 each

Sumptuous Olive is one of those brilliant Mac must haves! It's one of those colours that go with pretty much any skin tone, eye colour and any eyeshadow if I'm honest. It's well... an olive colour with a gold sheen to it, gives off a metallic effect. I usually use this either on its own or with a matt  brown  through the crease.
Another colour in my spring edit is Mac  Girlie eyeshadow. I think this is very under rated by Mac I don't hear many people talking about. It's a nice soft pink colour with a slight shimmer. I find this so easy to wear almost like sumptuous olive,  because it takes little work I can either wear it alone or with a colour blended and most colours go with it.

I have filled my Mac palette let me know if you want a review and swatch. :)

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick - 912 Electric Orange - £6.99

If you want an orange lipstick you know not like Heinz tomato soup smeared around your face but more like ... orange!
Then give this one a go! It's not breaking the bank at £7 if your experimenting with orange. The colour payoff is good and the lasting power is reasonable. It doesn't cling to chapped dry skin, its a creamy formula with honey nectar to nourish the lips. I definitely prefer to use a lip liner with this  just to make it more intense and last as long as possible.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Lipstick - 31 Fuchsia Tourbillon - £26.00

Last but not least to my mini spring edit  is one of my beloved YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks. This is the shade 31 fuchsia tourbillion which is a bright pink. Out of all my  YSL lipsticks this seems to have the best staying power and I'm not sure why maybe it's the colour.. Can we just take a minute to admire the beautiful packaging (Love heart eyes emoji). This really is a pick me up product - YES it's expensive for a lipstick but YES it makes you feel amazing!!

Hope you enjoyed my little spring edit. let me know what you add to your make up collection for Spring?
Also let me know if you want a summer edit....

10 Years on

Just sat minding my own...well actually browsing through ASOS with the telly on in the background and I see my back surgeon from 10 years ago. BBC 2 Hospital series 3  a documentary on Nottingham QMC hospital around the time of a bed crisis. A young boy of 12 was about to undergo a spinal fusion by the best surgeon Micheal Grevitt (my doctor). The documentary was a brilliant insight into how the NHS is suffering. Staff overworked, patients distressed waiting for beds, treatment and then a lack of social care funding. An experience I didn't have 10 years ago. The program brought back some memories, least to say some painful memories - literally painful. August 2007 I went to QMC to have the biggest operation I'd ever had or probably will ever have. I make myself laugh to be honest because now at 26 I'd be shitting myself but not at 16 -  bitch be fearless! Obvz I was nervous but I was optimistic almost unbeatable! My mum looked petrified...the woman is scared of hospital

#MYBEAUTIFULSTRUGGLE

I don't really know what I'm going to call this blog post. I have to discuss Jordan Bone's latest YouTube video "My beautiful struggle". This video had over 25,000 views in 24 hours! ( Congratulations Jordan) . The point of this video was for Jordan to show her viewers The struggle she has to apply make up. It's almost like a behind-the-scenes about how difficult it was to learn to do her make up. She is a positive, beautiful, ambitious inspiration which makes her the perfect role model for so many different people not just those with disabilities. It's not easy to put a video like this online for everyone to see. To admit that you can't do most things for yourself and have to ask for help with everything is difficult. Down to silly little things to normal people ( able people ), like brushing your own hair or dressing yourself. Do you take that for granted ? Maybe ? You probably don't even realise your morning routine is completel

June favourites 2015

These are A few products that I have been loving in the last month. They are all actually fairly new because my birthday was the end of May.  Clinique Turnaround Overnight Revitalizing Moisturiser  I visited Bicster Village for my birthday and bought this moisturiser from the cosmetic company which was heavily discounted - WOO! I've been really struggling to find a decent night cream. I have dry skin but also have quite a lot of redness. Since I've been using this I have noticed my skin is a lot less dehydrated and looks brighter in the morning. It claims to be helping with sun damage and anti-ageing which sounds good to me. CHARLOTTE TILBURY Brow lift eyebrow pencil This is literally the best eyebrow product I have ever used! It's got a spoolie brush, a browbone highlight and obviously the pencil. 3 in 1 ticks all the boxes. I've not been very good at doing my eyebrows in the past but this is so easy to use! Well worth the money.
